WELCOME

On these pages are the assignments, notes, documents, and links for Mr. Osborne's classes. These are intended for the use of Redmond High School students and their families.

Other visitors are welcome and the material here may be used outside of the RHS community, but only with the explicit written permission of Mr. Osborne.

The title of this site may at first seem confusing. Are these science classes or technical classes? They are both. Some can be taken for science credit, others for career credit. The class descriptions provide the details.

Also, please notice AP Computer Science and Electronics classes can be taken for TechPrep credit.

AP COMPUTER SCIENCE
Patterned after a typical college-level introduction to computer science. Students study fundamental concepts of object-oriented design. These include classes, objects, methods, variables, flow control, searching and sorting. Students learn to write with the Java programming language.

CHEMISTRY
A rigorous, college-prep science class designed to convey a basic understanding of Chemistry and, in the process, develop scientific, analytical, and time-management skills.

ELECTRONICS
A hands-on class introducing students to the fundamental concepts of digital and analog electronics. Students learn by building working devices, including audio amplifiers and small, microprocessor-controlled robots.
